Building Management Systems (or BMS) is a computer-based system that is installed in buildings to monitor and control the mechanical and electrical system of the building. The building management system controls the power system, lighting, ventilation, security system and fire system in the building.

Energy Efficient:
One of the biggest benefits of using building management systems is that you will become more energy efficient.
• Analyze and monitor how energy is consumed
• Control your lights and turn them off automatically when no one is in the room
• Automatically turn on or off and adjust your air conditioner
• Create automated energy efficient measures in unoccupied areas of the building

Operation and Maintenance Costs:
You can reduce your operation and maintenance costs with building management systems.
• The advanced diagnostics available in building management systems will enable you to maximize proper use of equipment and have timely maintenance
• Use of integrated systems like CCTV monitoring and Access Control
• Remote monitoring of equipment

Lower Utility Costs:
Building management systems are great when it comes to lowering utility costs. There will be at least 15% lower utility costs with BMS.

Enhance Property Value:
When the utility costs are lower it increases the net income of thebuilding and enhances its value. For every $0.10/per sq. ft. saved in energy there will be a corresponding increase in the market value by $0.80/ per sq. ft. So a building of 100,000 sq. ft. will increase in value by $120,000 when the energy costs are reduced by $0.15 per sq. ft.

Occupancy Comfort:
BMS also provides excellent occupancy comfort and fewer complaints.

Simplified Building Operation:
With computer controlled operations in the building it makes building operation easier and trouble free. Being able to see in real-time videos with excellent graphic detail will allow you to look at any part of the building and determine whether something needs replacing or repairs.

Improved Staff Productivity:
1. With a building management system in place you will be able to improve staff productivity, maximize staff comfort and economizing costs
2. Provide local controls for occupants to have better control over comfort in occupied areas
3. Building management systems helps in reduction in energy consumption and also reduces the production of carbon dioxide emissions
4. Contribution towards agreement with mandatory legislation
5. Provide a better environment that enables staff to develop a sustainable approach to their lifestyle and work
6. Individual room controls
7. Better control of internal comfort conditions
8. Effective monitoring of energy consumption
9. Better management of time and money
10. Higher value on property
11. Remote monitoring of equipment and plants like plumbing pumps, electrical supply, fire pumps etc.
12. Increased level of comfort
13. Central remote control of building
14. Monitoring of building
15. Satisfied occupants
16. Computerized maintenance schedules
17. Effective use of staff for maintenance
18. Ease of information availability

Environmental Sustainability Policy:
1. Building management systems helps in reduction in energy consumption and also reduces the production of carbon dioxide emissions
2. Contribution towards agreement with mandatory legislation
3. Provide a better environment that enables staff to develop a sustainable approach to their lifestyle and work

Benefits to Occupants:
1. Individual room controls
2. Better control of internal comfort conditions
3. Effective monitoring of energy consumption
4. Better management of time and money

Benefits to Building Owner:
1. Higher value on property
2. Remote monitoring of equipment and plants like plumbing pumps, electrical supply, fire pumps, etc.
3. Increased level of comfort
4. Central remote control of building
5. Monitoring of building

Benefit for Maintenance Companies:
1. Satisfied occupants
2. Computerized maintenance schedules
3. Effective use of staff for maintenance
4. Ease of information availability
